About Us

The leaves on our fingerprint tree represent our colors of diversity.  Just like no two fingerprints on earth are alike, no two personal experiences are alike.  Thus, the tree signifies that while we are unique – like a leaf or a fingerprint – we are all rooted in the Cabrini CommUNITY.

The Office of Diversity Initiatives (OSDI) exists to empower and support students of all backgrounds and walks of life, and we welcome differences in age, race ability, gender & sexual identity and expressions, ethnicity, religion or faith practice, socioeconomic background and geographic origin.  OSDI welcomes, celebrates, and supports our diverse student body, and the development of an inclusive campus community.

OSDI promotes and engages students in intellectual dialogue and inquiry about their social identities. The office focuses our programs & services on creating spaces and opportunities for students to examine how their intersecting identities shape their experiences and their understanding of their world.

The office is located in the Widener Center across from the Cabrini University Bookstore. OSDI has an open door policy; we welcome all campus community members and guests with questions, concerns, suggestions, as well as those seeking friendly conversation!

Our Mission

OSDI engages our AHLANA (Afriacan-American, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native American)
and LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual +) student body through intentional, identity-focused retention and success programs.  Through these initiatives, OSDI serves as a place for support and affirmation of the diversity in our student body.  This office provides training, programs, and other special events that strengthen our inclusive campus community.

Our Blog

This blog will also be a resource where we will share information pertaining to financial resources & literacy, scholarship and internship opportunities for diverse populations (AHLANA, LGBTQIA+, female, and international students) as well as current events that impact the lives and college experience for our students from a social justice perspective.
